Rear And Side Extensions, Kitchen/dining Open Plan, Out Build In Garden, Landscaping

This house renovation project was one of the most complicated ones we’ve ever undertaken! The rear and side extensions, together with complex landscaping, were performed during the wettest winter on record for the UK together with the first COVID-19 lockdown. Despite all these obstacles we managed to complete this project successfully, on budget and only with 4 weeks’ delay.

The project involved demolition of the existing conservatory and removing around 30 tons of clay soil. The garden was split into three levels, and the retaining walls were built with a complex drainage system. The garden house was built at the top of the garden out of concrete blocks, with a flat roof and fibreglass cover. All walls of the garden house and retaining walls were wrapped with K-rend.

Rear and side extensions were built with brick & block cavity, flat roof with warm deck and two skylights. Flat roof was also covered with fibreglass. A new kitchen was fitted, and a new shower room and utility room were located in the new side extension.

Gas and electric meters were moved outside. New electrics were installed throughout. New plumbing together with new system boiler and unvented cylinder were installed. All areas were tiled and decorated to achieve a high-end standard.
